Trunyan Village (Desa Trunyan)

Trunyan Village is an isolated settlement on the eastern shore of Lake Batur. It is home to the Bali Aga people, the original pre-Majapahit Balinese community.

Most visitors come for the cemetery, but the main village offers a look at traditional Bali Aga culture. The community sits at an elevation of over 1,000 meters in the Kintamani highlands.

You will need a 15 to 45-minute boat ride from Kedisan Harbor to reach the settlement. Bring modest clothing and a sarong, as these are required for village and temple visits.
